MS Access で "The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produdced the following error: A problem occurred while the database was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control." というエラーが出た。

簡易ツールを日本語OSで作って、海外OSのユーザーに使ってもらったら、このエラーが出てしまいました。海外ユーザーのPC上で、Shiftを押して開いてデバッグしたところ、フォームが開かないようです。デザインモードでは開くのに、レイアウトモードではエラーになりました。

下記の辺りを参照したら、DBにゴミ (gremlins - グレムリンって言うんですね) が残っているとこの問題が起こる、問題のフォームをコピペして作り直すと開くようになる、とのことで、やってみたらエラーが無くなりました。
